Vinay Patel | President and CEO
Fairbrook Hotels is headed by its founder and President Vinay Patel. Vinay is responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategy for Fairbrook Hotels. Additionally he heads the strategic planning, acquisitions and sales of hotel assets.
Vinay Patel has 30 years of hotel experience. At the age of 8, he assisted in housekeeping to front desk at the family motel. Upon graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration, he continued the family business with his father at a small 15-room motel in Richmond, Virginia. Here he learned the values of hard work and perseverance.
Along the way Vinay has received many awards for his accomplishments. He was awarded the 'Future Hotelier of the Year' award by the Asian American Hotel Owners Association and won the Presidential Award by Carlson Companies twice for the Country Inn and Suites for achieving the highest level of operational excellence Vinay believes in giving back to the hotel industry with involvement on numerous levels. He presently serves on the Board of Director for the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Franchise Advisory Council for Carlson Hotels Worldwide and is the founding President of the Herndon Hospitality Association.
Caroline Oliveira | Director of Operations
Caroline brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her role as Director of Operations for Fairbrook Hotels, LLC. She began her hospitality career in her home country of Brazil with a degree in Hotel Administration and interned at two prominent Brazilian hotels with a focus in both Front Desk Management and Kitchen Production. Upon arrival in the United States, she honed her skills at the prestigious Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia. Over the last two decades she has worked at some of the most prominent hotels and restaurants in the Charlottesville area, including experience in food and beverage; sales and reservations and general management. In 2016, she joined the Fairbrook Hotels team as General Manager of their award-winning Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she demonstrated excellent leadership skills, financial prowess and adherence to high standards of quality control providing guests with a 5-star experience. Due to her successful run as General Manager, she was promoted to Director of Operations for all hotels operated by Fairbrook Hotels, LLC. In this role, she leads & trains hotel’s management staff, manages HR responsibilities and has successfully achieved financial, operational, STR and customer service goals for each property.
Deborah Kaplan | Director Of Sales & Marketing
Deborah Kaplan is a seasoned sales professional with over 30 years’ experience in multiple industries including retail, healthcare, communications and hospitality. She is passionate about providing great service to both our hotels’ clients as well as our own internal hospitality ‘family.’ She was raised in the suburbs of Chicago by very southern parents who taught her to look at challenges as opportunities and to always be kind to others. Those skills coupled with studies focused on psychology help her succeed in the sales industry! She has also enjoyed lending her sales experience to the nonprofit world by serving on several boards including Red Shoe C’ville, the fundraising arm of the Ronald McDonald House, and she continues to volunteer when time allows. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, boyfriend and dog as well as visiting family in Richmond, reading mystery novels, gardening (or at least trying not to kill the plants) and learning Spanish.

HOTEL DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION
Fairbrook Hotels has a track record of developing and constructing new build hotels from the ground up. We have completed a project from raw land to site plan to construction to opening a new hotel. Our ability to oversee the project from raw land to opening a new construction hotel project is critical to meeting the needs of franchisors, quality assurance for the guests, and for our owners to be proud of the project.
SALES & MANAGEMENT
We feel that the sales and Marketing is a critical component of any business, without revenue the business cannot exist. We implement a strategic plan to effectively use investment and personnel to ensure our efforts reflect measurable growth of new and repeat business.
We use a centralized accounting system which collects and reports detailed financial data from all hotels on a real time basis which helps our executive make intelligent decisions on a day to day basis. It also helps us benchmark our costs with others in a similar environment to help make sure we are consistent with the market.
HOTEL EVALUATIONS & FEASIBILITY
Fairbrook Hotels staff has a deep understanding of the hotel industry which can assist institutional investors and owners with the analysis of real estate portfolios. Our key personnel have years of industry experience with expertise in operations, business planning, demand analysis, creating budgets and franchise selection.
